In 2020, the Puerto Rico Department of Transportation and Public Works announced the addition of a digital ID to their CESCO Digital mobile app.
The feature was said to become available after the Puerto Rico Legislature approves the required legal aspects. Once approved, it will show a full version of the driverโs license and will display the driverโs information, such as the license number, date of birth and expiration date.
As of 2024, it seems the legislation still has not been passed, and Puerto Ricans are still waiting for the mobile ID.

Esta nueva identificaciรณn estarรก disponible una vez la Legislatura de Puerto Rico apruebe los aspectos legales requeridos. Una vez aprobada, mostrarรก una versiรณn completa de la licencia de conducir y la informaciรณn del conductor, como el nรบmero de licencia, la fecha de nacimiento y la de vencimiento.
A fecha de hoy, parece que la legislaciรณn aรบn no se ha aprobado y los puertorriqueรฑos aรบn no tienen disponible la identificaciรณn mรณvil.
