Does the Unitech TS200 scan passports?


Yes. The Unitech TS200 scans both IDs and passports.

 

Can the Unitech TS200 work offline?


The Unitech TS200 does not require internet access to scan IDs. However, the particular software you are using may require online connectivity. Both VeriScan ID Scanning & Visitor Management software, and ParseLink Data Automation software work offline.

 

What kind of computer do I need to use the Unitech TS200?


Any computer capable of running Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10

 

Does the Unitech TS200 work with Mac OS?


No. The Unitech TS200 is only compatible with Windows OS.

 

Do I need software for the scanner to work?


Yes. We are providers of VeriScan and ParseLink solutions which are compatible with the E-Seek M500. The scanner is also compatible with other software, not provided by IDScan.net. Contact your software provider to confirm compatibility and functionality.

 

How is the Unitech TS200 powered?


The Unitech TS200 can be powered via USB cord that plugs into the computer, but it is recommended by the manufacturer to use the additional power supply cord that plugs into the wall so there are no issues with the scanner malfunctioning due to low power.

 

Do I need to install a hardware driver for the Unitech TS200 to work?


No. The TS200 is designed to be a plug and play device and no hardware driver is required.

 

Does the Unitech TS200 authenticate IDs?


No. The Unitech is not capable of ID authentication.

 

Can the Unitech TS200 capture images?


No. The Unitech TS200 can read and parse IDs, but does not have image capture functionality.

 

CDoes the Unitech TS200 scan all US IDs?


Yes. When paired with either our VeriScan or ParseLink solutions, the scanner is capable of reading all government issued US IDs.

Drivers & Setup

No additional drivers required. Windows will automatically install necessary drivers.

Setup for VeriScan

  • Plug the RJ45 (LAN style) connector end of the cable into the scanner.
  • Plug in both USB ends into the computer or a powered USB hub.
  • Start the VeriScan software and navigate to Settings > Devices > +Add > Scanner and select the COM port assigned to the scanner.

Setup for ParseLink

  • Plug the RJ45 (LAN style) connector end of the cable into the scanner.
  • Plug in both USB ends into the computer or a powered USB hub.
  • Start the Wizzforms software.
  • Right click the ParseLink Icon in the system tray and navigate to Reader/Scanner 1.
  • Click the dropdown and select the COM port assigned to the scanner.
