In order to become a Member, you must register with our Service. You must provide some basic PII such as name and email address in order to register.

Once you become a Member, you may provide additional PII in your Account.

Once you become a Member, you will provide the PII of your Customers in your use of our Service.
- Customer Service

For all Users, we collect NPI as follows:
- Web Beacons
We may also use web beacons to collect NPI about your use of our Service as well as those of our affiliates, and your use of special promotions or newsletters. The information we collect by Web Beacons allows us to statistically monitor the number of people that open our emails and why they opened our emails. Our Web Beacons are not used to track your activity outside of our Service or those of our affiliates. We do not link NPI from Web Beacons to PII without your permission.

Due to the nature of our Service, there may be information you are tracking using the Service that could be considered the PII of the customer receiving assistance. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of such Customer information. Even if you are using our cloud-based features, IDScan.net assumes no liability for the confidentiality of information that you provide through our Service about your Customers.

IDScan.net uses the PII that you provide for provide the Service to you and as provided below:
- Service Communications
When IDScan.net communicates with you about our Service, we may use the email address you provided on your Account. We will send you emails/messages to notify you of information changes as well as to contact you about other Service-related items such as billing or changes to your Service. Finally, we may also send you emails/messages with promotional information about IDScan.net or our affiliates, unless you have opted out of receiving such information. You can change contact preferences at any time through your Account settings. While you can opt-out of promotional messages, you cannot opt-out of receiving service messages.
- Improving Our Service
We use the PII that you provide to help improve our Service. This is done without disclosing any PII.
- Sharing Information with Affiliates and Other Third Parties
IDScan.net does not sell, rent, or otherwise provide PII to third parties for marketing purposes. We may provide PII to affiliates that provide services to IDScan.net with regards to our Service (i.e. payment processors, website and cloud hosting companies, etc.); such affiliates will only receive information necessary to provide the respective services and will be bound by confidentiality agreements limiting the use of such information.
As mentioned above, IDScan.net may have testimonials where Members share their praise and success stories with regards to our Service. Such testimonials may include PII, but only as voluntarily shared by such Members.

IDScan.net may have need to disclose your or your Customer’s PII, if such disclosure is (a) required by subpoena, law, or other legal process; (b) necessary to assist law enforcement officials or government enforcement agencies; (c) necessary to investigate violations of or otherwise enforce our legal rights; (d) necessary to protect us from legal action or claims from third parties including you and/or other Members; and/or (e) necessary to protect the legal rights, personal/real property, or personal safety of IDScan.net, our Users, employees, and affiliates.

Opting Out of Sharing Information
IDScan.net provides you with the ability to opt-out of future third-party disclosures of PII. Such opt-out will not affect disclosures otherwise permitted by law, including but not limited to: (a) disclosures to third-party service providers who provide certain services for our business, such as credit card processing, computer system services, shipping, data management, or promotional services; (b) disclosures to third parties as necessary to fulfill your requests; or (c) disclosures to governmental agencies or law enforcement departments or otherwise required to be made under applicable law.
Changing/Removing Information Your Information
You may change or remove PII about yourself or any Customer by using the features of the Service. If at any time you need assistance, just send us an email or customer service request form with your request.
Protecting Children’s Privacy
Even though our Service is not designed for use by anyone under the age of 18 (“Child”), we realize that a Child may attempt to access our Service or that we may receive Customer information for a Child. We do not knowingly collect PII from/about a Child; however, you acknowledge that we cannot accurately verify the age of our Users or those Customers for whom a Member sends us information. You understand that we have neither responsibility to do so nor any liability if we do receive a Child’s information. If you are parent or legal guardian who suspects their Child has used our Service or otherwise had their Child’s information transmitted through our Service, please contact us immediately to remove your Child’s information. We will ask you to provide identification to confirm that you are indeed the Child’s parent or legal guardian. If you are a Child, please do not attempt to use our Service; and please don’t attempt to use fake IDs!

IDScan.net and our affiliates fully comply with international laws regarding the sending of SPAM. You can always opt out of receipt of further email correspondence from IDScan.net and/or our affiliates. We agree that we will not sell, rent, or trade your email address to any unaffiliated third-party without your permission. It is very important that you understand that email is not considered a secure form of communication. As such, please take care in what you disclose in any email that you send to us.
Our Security Policy
IDScan.net has constructed our Service using industry standard encryption and authentication tools to protect PII. If you are using our cloud-based features, the third party service providers such as Amazon or Google are also responsible for the necessary security to protect information placed on their servers. When we collect PII through our Service, your data is encrypted and other industry standard technologies, such as encryption software, routers and firewalls, are used to protect your information. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the Internet, we cannot completely guarantee that PII is completely protected. Furthermore, we cannot guarantee or warranty the privacy protections of third parties such as Amazon or Google. We strongly urge you to protect any password you may have for our Service and not share it with anyone. You should always log out of our Service when not in use, especially if you are sharing a computer with someone else or are using a public computer.
You will have to provide a payment source (i.e. credit card) to become a Member of IDScan.net. You understand that we use third-party billing providers to process your payment source for providing our Service to you. We work such providers to insure your payment source information is protected, and we will actively protect your payment source information while it’s in our possession. However, you understand and agree that we can’t control nor can we be liable for the acts of third parties.
