How to choose the right ID scanner for your bar or nightclub
Although any ID verification scanner will be an improvement over visual ID checks, there are a few key questions to consider when you are choosing an ID scanning solution for a bar or nightclub:
- How prevalent is the use of fake IDs at your establishment? Are you a college bar with a younger crowd? If so, you may want to choose an ID authentication device, since many modern fake IDs will pass a basic barcode scan. - Do you have a large number of guests presenting passports? If you see a lot of passports used for identification you will want to use a handheld scanner, or a scanner with a flatbed that can accommodate passport books.
