Mobile ID rollout and adoption in Arkansas

The Arkansas mobile ID is offered through multiple wallets:

  • Arkansas ID in Apple Wallet
  • Arkansas ID in Google Wallet
  • Arkansas ID in Samsung Wallet
  • Arkansas Mobile ID App

Since its launch in 2026, it is estimated that over 63,000 Arkansas residents have added their driver’s licenses or state IDs to their phones.

Where can the Arkansas mobile ID be used?

The Arkansas mobile ID is accepted at participating TSAs around the country.

Both public and private entities “are allowed” to accept the Arkansas digital ID, though they are not required to.

The digital identity cannot be used to prove driving privileges. It is an identity-only credential, so residents should still continue to carry their physical ID while knowledge of the mobile ID continues to grow.

Presentment of a digital ID to a law enforcement officer is not considered consent for the officer to access other apps or stored items on the presenter’s mobile device.

How can businesses read/verify Arkansas mobile IDs?

In order to read/verify Arkansas mobile IDs, businesses and government entities will need to use a compatible app and/or scanner that is capable of reading the encrypted data.

VeriScan for Windows with a Tap2ID mobile ID reader is capable of reading and verifying mobile IDs, including the Arkansas digital ID, and storing information alongside data from scanned physical IDs and passports.
