About the E-Seek M600

The E-Seek Model M600 ID Reader introduces a new performance standard for ID card reading. It can read ID3 and ID1 cards without a hood to streamline document reading. Boarding pass barcodes can also be read. Advanced image processing is performed to provide a high quality ID1 images without a hood.

FAQs

Can the E-Seek M600 scan passports?

Yes. The flatbed surface allows for passports to be placed on the scanner and authenticated. It is also capable of scanning drivers licenses, state ID cards, passport cards, and smaller identity documents.

Does the E-Seek M600 work offline?

The E-Seek M600 does not require internet access to scan IDs. However, the particular software you are using may require online connectivity. Both VeriScan ID Scanning & Visitor Management software, and ParseLink Data Automation software work offline. 

If you are using software other than VeriScan or ParseLink, you will need to consult your software vendor to determine offline functionality.

What kind of computer do I need to use the E-Seek M600?

Any computer capable of running Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10.

Does the E-Seek M600 work with Mac OS?

No. The E-Seek M600 is only compatible with Windows OS.

Do I need software for the E-Seek M600 to work?

Yes. We are providers of VeriScan and ParseLink solutions which are compatible with the E-Seek M600. The scanner is also compatible with other software, not provided by IDScan.net. Contact your software provider to confirm compatibility and functionality.

How does the E-seek M600 authenticate IDs?

The E-Seek M600 is a forensic document reader, which uses three light (white light, ultraviolet, infrared) to analyze documents. It also has multiple cameras to perform simultaneous six image capture, allowing for comparison to ID templates at the pixel level. 

In order to authenticate IDs, you will need to pair the E-Seek M600 with software such as VeriScan ID Authentication.

How long does authenticating an ID with the E-seek M600 take?

Authentication speed is dependent on the processing power of the computer. Optimal computers can authenticate an ID in roughly 8 seconds.

How is the E-Seek M600 powered?

The E-Seek M600is powered via a cord that plugs into a standard electrical outlet.

Can the E-Seek M600 scan all US IDs?

Yes. When paired with either our VeriScan or ParseLink solutions, the scanner is capable of reading all government issued US IDs, drivers licenses, and passport cards.
