The VeriScan system automatically updates to reflect changes in state MMJ card formats and templates. When a state introduces a new card design, we push updates to your system remotely to ensure uninterrupted verification.
Do medical marijuana dispensaries keep your ID information?
Laws vary by state regarding what information should legally be stored. Learn more about state laws here.
Should you allow customers to enter your medical dispensary with an expired ID?
Medical dispensaries should not accept an expired ID, as when an ID is expired it becomes invalid.
Should you allow non-purchasing customers to enter your medical dispensary without an ID?
Most states require that a valid ID or passport be presented before entering the dispensary premises. If you don’t have ID you will typically not be legally allowed to enter.
What happens if a medical marijuana card fails verification?
When a medical marijuana card fails verification, a “failed” pop-up will appear in VeriScan. This gives your staff clear guidance on next steps, whether that’s politely declining the sale, helping the patient contact their state registry, or recommending they renew their expired card. All failed verification attempts are logged for your compliance records.
