Where can the New Mexico mobile ID be used?
The New Mexico mobile ID is accepted at participating TSAs around the country.
Only select locations accept the New Mexico digital ID currently. As the ID format becomes more common, it is expected that more businesses will begin accepting the digital ID.
Currently law enforcement does not accept the New Mexico digital ID, and residents are asked to still carry their physical ID for the time being.
How can businesses read/verify New Mexico digital IDs?
The state released a verification app the state created called NM Verifier, which businesses can use to read the digital IDs in order to sell age-restricted items.
