Mobile ID adoption in Nevada
While legalized in April 2021, Nevada still does not have an active mobile ID available for residents through any platform as of February 2025.
Nevada SB 204
Nevada lawmakers signed Senate Bill 204 in April of 2021, which allows license and state ID holders to possess an electronic version of their driver’s license or identification card. Once live, these mobile IDs will not take the place of physical licenses; as such, residents will still need a physical copy of their license when driving.
While the bill passed in 2021 and is legal, Nevada has yet to develop/announce development of the mobile ID integration. There is no public knowledge as to when this integration will be announced, but we hope development will come soon. The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles mentioned implementation sometime between 2023 and 2025.
