July 11th, 2016 | Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker signs bill with several vetoes and amendments. |
July 23rd, 2016 | House and Senate roll call majority of Governor Baker's vetoes. |
What does this mean for Massachusetts residents in regards to Real ID Act?
Fall 2017 | Massachusetts RMV will start issuing Real ID cards. |
October 2020 | Real ID cards are required to board a domestic flight or enter a federal building. |
5 years | The new security enhancements in the card will be released over this period of time. |
