State of digital ID in Nevada

Nevada lawmakers signed Senate Bill 204 in April of 2021, which allows license holders to possess an electronic version of their driver’s license or identification card. These mobile driver’s licenses would not take the place of physical licenses; residents will still need a physical copy of their license when driving.

While the bill passed and is legal, Nevada has yet to develop/announce development of the mobile ID integration. There is no public knowledge as to when this integration will be announced, but we hope development will come soon. The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles mentioned implementation sometime between 2023 and 2025. Stay up to date with mobile driver’s licenses on IDScan.net.
