Learn more about Jillian Kossman, our Marketing Director, who just joined our team! She has a passion for New Orleans tech and marketing. Jillian shares her favorite things about marketing, what motivates her, and more in this interview.

1. Why did you choose IDScan.net?

I am passionate about tech companies in unlikely locations, especially in my home city of New Orleans. I wanted to return to #NOLATech and help our community have another scaling success story to make front page news. 

2. What are you most looking forward to while being the Marketing Director at IDScan.net?

I am excited to work with cutting edge technology. There is so much momentum in identity verification and authentication and so many avenues for growth. With the pandemic and COVID-testing and vaccination checks, as well as the transition to managing traditionally hard-copy documents on our phones, it feels like a really rich time to be in the identity tech space. There is also so much legislation, both on an overall level, and an industry-specific level, related to identification, and its always good to have downward pressure on businesses to act and buy a solution. 

3. Tell us one thing people may not know about you.

If I wasn’t a marketer, I would be a doctor or an interior designer!

4. What motivates you?

Results. There is nothing better than seeing big name leads come in the door, or signing clients you’ve been chasing for a long time. I love when marketing efforts contribute to the bottom line. 

5. What is your favorite part about marketing?

I love the blend of data and being creative. You get to make really strategic choices based on lots and lots of data, but you still get to have fun with it. I really enjoy design and making things look nice. I love the opportunity to elevate the brand. At IDScan.net, we have so much history and amazing clients, it is my job to bring that all together and make sure that history and success comes through via branding and thought leadership.
